Who is Big Mo?
Kody Mommaerts, known professionally as Big Mo, is a dynamic entertainer and entrepreneur redefining the landscape of combat sports. At just 30 years old, he has been hailed as the “Next Generation” of ring announcers, bringing a modern, electrifying presence to the global stage.
Big Mo served as the voice of the most-watched fight in history, Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson on Netflix, which drew over 100 million viewers worldwide. He has continued to announce for Jake and MVP. His work has appeared across major global broadcast platforms, including Sky Sports, NBC, and the BBC, a journey that began when he debuted on Sky at just 26 years old through marquee events with promoters such as BOXXER. Alongside his international boxing broadcasts, he also brings his signature style to the fast-growing world of Bare Knuckle Boxing, serving as the official ring announcer for BKB.
His versatility across combat sports has established him as one of the most recognizable and in-demand ring announcers of his generation. Whether commanding the microphone on the world’s biggest broadcast networks or introducing champions in sold-out arenas, Big Mo continues to elevate the presentation of combat sports with a tone and presence built for global television.
Beyond the ring, Kody has expanded his entertainment footprint as a television host, actor, and model, further showcasing his on-camera range and broad creative ability. Before stepping into entertainment, he was a Division I football player at the University of Northern Colorado, where he earned top academic honors at the Montfort College of Business. He graduated early with a Bachelor’s in Business Marketing and became the first full-time MBA recipientin the college’s history.
